Installation of Custom-Built Machines
When you let us at TMDI handle the installation, you get a carefully planned and executed process that makes sure our machines work optimally in the production environment where they will operate. As part of our complete machine manufacturing offering, our installation work covers site preparation, safe transport and unloading, careful assembly and adjustment of machine components, as well as safe connection and integration of the necessary systems. We finish with thorough testing and calibration to verify the machine’s functionality and performance. After installation, we carry out a Site Acceptance Test (SAT) to make sure all specifications and requirements are met.
Preparation and planning
To deliver an efficient and safe installation, we put great weight on thorough planning and preparation. We assess the installation site, review the machine specifications and identify any potential challenges. Safety measures are set early so we can minimise risks throughout the work.

Our step-by-step process
Site preparation: We make sure the installation site is free of obstacles and large enough to accommodate the equipment. We also confirm that ventilation, power supply and any compressed air are in place before we start.
Transport and unloading: We transport the machines to the installation site using the right lifting equipment. During unloading, we use certified lifting gear and follow correct lifting techniques to avoid accidents.
Assembly and adjustment: We assemble the machine components according to the drawings and instructions. Careful adjustment matters for smooth operation, so we use tools such as laser aligners to get precise positioning.
Connection and integration: We make all necessary connections for power, hydraulics and other systems according to specification, and we check every connection carefully for safety and accuracy.
Testing and calibration: We test the machine thoroughly to confirm that all moving parts work correctly. Sensors, controls and other instruments are calibrated by our technicians to guarantee optimal performance.
Site Acceptance Test (SAT)
Once installation is complete, we run a Site Acceptance Test (SAT) to verify that the machine works correctly in your actual production environment. Our SAT covers:
Documentation and approval: We document and evaluate the results from SAT to determine whether the machine meets all requirements. Once the requirements are met, you accept the system. If any issues come up, we resolve them and repeat the test until everything is in order.
Planning and preparation: We set up the test environment and define the test objectives together with you. The system is installed and configured so it is ready for testing.
Execution: We run several tests during SAT, including performance, functionality, usability and safety, to make sure all specifications and requirements are met.
Final steps
After successful installation and SAT, we confirm that the machine is fully integrated and ready for production. We also document the installation and testing process so future maintenance and troubleshooting becomes easier for you.
By following these steps, we can deliver efficient installation and long-term operation of our machines, and that contributes to high customer satisfaction and optimal machine performance.
